What are Key Workers

A Key Worker, as defined by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and New South Wales (NSW) Health, is a dedicated professional who plays a central role in coordinating and supporting individuals with disabilities and their families. The Key Worker acts as a primary point of contact, facilitating communication and collaboration between various service providers, caregivers, and the person with a disability. They work to ensure that services are effectively tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual, promoting a holistic and person-centered approach to care and support. Additionally, Key Workers contribute to capacity building, providing guidance and assistance to empower individuals and their families in navigating the complexities of the healthcare and disability support systems.

At NDSCare our Key Workers have been trained either in a medical profession or have extensive experience working in a transdisciplinary environment.
